Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving
I am thankful for a lot of things. I try and count my blessings every day even though sometimes that's hard for all of us to do. But just simple things that we take for granted, I am so thankful for. The gift of sight for example. I had an aunt who was blind and I was amazed at all the things she was able to do and that made me even more thankful for the gift of sight. The gift of hearing. I could not imagine going through a world without being able to listen to music or carry on a conversation with someone. The gift of living in the greatest country in the world where a lot of people take their freedoms for granted. Just look at North Korea who shot one of their military leaders for falling during a military parade. Don't take your freedoms for granted. I am thankful for our military who sacrifice so much to keep us free safe. Just think, as you're enjoying Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, there are hundreds of thousands of military personnel that are not with their family and friends on Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for a roof over my head. I am thankful for my friends. And I am extremely thankful for my family. I am thankful for my wonderful wife and my awesome stepson. I am thankful that I have a fun job where I get to listen to music and entertain people with funny stories. And I am thankful for you, the Whale Listener, because if it wasn't for you, I would be talking to myself every morning. Happy Thanksgiving.
