The New York Giants will travel to our nation’s capital to take on NFC East rivals the Washington Redskins, coverage begins Sunday at 3:25pm on 991 The Whale.

The Giants have nothing to gain or lose on Sunday as they are locked in to the fifth seed as a Wildcard in the playoffs, but Coach Ben McAdoo will have his team ready to play for a win going into the post season.
The Redskins can still make the playoff if they win, and the Green Bay vs. Detroit game does not end in a tie.

The Giants defense has improved from last year’s ranking of 30th in defensive scoring, to number 3 this season, however the offense has slumped from being 6th in scoring last year, to a lowly 25th on the offensive side this season.

If Eli Manning starts on Sunday it will be his 199 consecutive start as the Giants quarterback, Odell Beckham Jr has a chance to be number in receiving yards for this season, he is currently number two with 1,323 receiving yards, behind the Indianapolis Colts T.Y. Hilton with 1,353.

Getting the Big Blue offense up and running is important, if they can get the running and passing game in sync along with their defense they could go deep into the playoffs.
If I had my choice I would not want to see us play Seattle, but rather the lions or maybe the Falcons.

The playoff scenario for the Giants is complicated

  • If the Seahawks lose, Seahawks will host the Giants
  • If the Seahawks win, and both the Lions & Falcons win, Lions will host the Giants
  • If the Seahawks win, and the Lions win & Falcons lose, =Falcons will host Giants
  • If the Seahawks win, and the packers Win,= Green Bay will host Giants.

The Giants will look to close out the regular season with a win against the Washington Redskins
