Broome County New York Festival Of Lights Extended One More Week

I finally made it. After four years of the Broome County Festival of Lights adorning Otsiningo Park in Binghamton during the holiday season, I finally took the time to drive through the park.

Well, in truth, my sister-in-law drove through the park so I could gaze out the window and enjoy the light show. I have to admit, it was really impressive. I can't imagine all the hard work that goes into setting it up (and tearing it down at the end of the season.)

We ended up going through the display twice and caught things we didn't see the first time around. The Festival of Lights allows you to go around again if you wish, and it was worth it.

If you haven't taken the Festival of Lights tour, this weekend was to be the last. But wait! That's no longer the case. According to the Broome County Festival of Lights Facebook page, because a couple of days were lost due to flooding in the park in December, and the popularity of the event, the Festival of Lights will continue for one more week.

That means the Festival of Lights will be turned on and open to enjoy through Sunday, January 7th, 2024! From January 1st through the 7th, the Festival of Lights will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. inside Broome County's Otsiningo Park, off Bevier Street, Binghamton.

And don't forget - Sunday, December 31st will feature a special New Year's Eve fireworks show, beginning at 7 p.m. The organizers of the Broome County Festival of Lights ask anyone attending the fireworks show, to arrive early for a parking spot inside Otsiningo Park.
