A Binghamton Treasure: The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park

I never lived in a town that had a zoo until I moved to Binghamton. Yes, the Philadelphia Zoo was close by, but the small town, accessible feel is what really sets the Binghamton Zoo apart. How lucky we are! But how taken for granted this place is.

The zoo is a great place to learn and to experience. For parents, a great place to teach. We've got leopards, cougars and tigers. Meercats, lemurs and sloths. There are animals of all kinds in a perfect wooded setting.

When was the last time you enjoyed the day? I have to admit that I've only been once. This year I plan to go again. It'll be date day with my husband! They have guided tours, theme days and weekends, like Eggstravaganza on Easter weekend, and you can even plan a birthday party.
