Will the Weather Spoil Tim Tebow’s Binghamton Debut?
Ready to rumble tomorrow night?
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will attempt to open up their 2018 season at NYSEG Stadium tomorrow night hosting the Portland Sea Dogs, the Double-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
I'm sure with Tim Tebow making his debut here in Binghamton, this will be the biggest crowd for opening night in many years. The weather might be an issue though. According to Brian Schroeder at WBNG StormTrack 12, there is a chance of snow showers during the day tomorrow and the high will only reach 36. Tomorrow night, the forecast is calling for light snow and snow showers, with a chance of 1-to 3 inches of accumulation of snow. Tomorrow night's low temperature getting down to 24.
If you do go to the game, make sure you bundle up and get there early. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first pitch is scheduled for 6:35. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will get a fleece blanket from the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Tickets are still available through the Rumble Ponies' website and at the box office at the stadium. If you can't make it out to the game but you want to keep up with what's going on, you can listen to the Ponies' games on our sister station News Radio 1290 AM, WNBF. You can listen to all of the Rumble Ponies' games there unless it's a weekday afternoon game. If that's the case, you can catch the Rumble Ponies' games on Binghamton's CBS Sports Radio, 1360 AM, WYOS.
Let's rumble in the snow.
