What to Do This Weekend
There’s a lot going on this weekend in the Binghamton area. It’s going to be hard to pick just what to do. There are concerts, comedians, festivals and a demolition derby, just to name a few options. These are the ones I’m interested in.
- 1
George Thorogood, Foghat, and Molly Hatchet
George Thorogood, Foghat, and Molly Hatchet at playing tonight at Tag’s in Big Flats. The weather looks like it will cooperate. It might me a little on the cooler side, but just bring a sweatshirt and rock out to these legendary artists.
- 2
The Greek Fest
The 44th. Annual Grecian Festival is this week at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation in Vestal. I was there Thursday night and the food was so good, I might have to make another trip this weekend.
- 3
Binghamton Rumble Ponies
The Rumble Ponies are home this weekend to host the Portland Seadogs. Tonight’s game is at 7:05 and there will be fireworks after the game. They will play a double header tomorrow starting at 5:35, and they will finish up the series on Sunday with the first pitch at 1:05.
- 4
Demolition Derby
The Kings of Old School Demolition Derby is happening this Saturday at the Broome County Fair Grounds in Whitney Point.
- 5
Comedy Showcase
The Reverend Bob Levy and John Kensil will be doing standup comedy at A Touch Of Texas on Upper Front St. in Binghamton. After they are done with their “Adult Comedy Show”, there will be a Beatles Tribute band on stage. Show time is 9pm.
- 6
Scleroderma Walk
Binghamton’s Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma is happening Sunday at Otsiningo Park. The walk begins at 10 a.m. with registration starting at 9 a.m.
