Vote for ME Spartans as America’s Top Football Team

LET'S GO SPARTANS!

The Maine-Endwell football team is in the running to be named “America’s Top Football Team?”   USA Today is holding its annual People’s Champion competition with 64 schools vying for a $500 prize and the chance to be named the top high school football team – as chosen by fans – of 2012.
I first told you about this Thursday and asked that you vote for the Spartans.  AND YOU DID IT!  Maine-Endwell got more than enough votes to move on in the competition. But our job is not yet done

Sixteen teams have advanced into the second round, which begins at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, and ends at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14. The final round begins Jan. 15 and ends Jan. 18.

Teams advancing to second round in the Northeast are:

New York – Maine Endwell
Pennsylvania – North Allegheny
Vermont – Hartford
Virginia – Lake Taylor
