New York Has the Biggest of This Restaurant Chain in the World

Mention the name Chick-fil-A and you can be sure a spirited conversation will ensue, either positive or not. The debate of whether a restaurant will land in our corner of the Southern Tier sure has been a hot topic lately, but we've heard nothing official, yet.

Regardless of anyone's opinion, this national fast-food restaurant is very popular. The Chick-fil-A website notes that there are over 3000 restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.

The southern states boast the most of these restaurants, but New York State now has over 50 Chick-fil-A locations, including several on the New York State Thruway.

The closest to Binghamton in New York State are in the Syracuse and Albany areas, and there are two just an hour's drive down Interstate 81 in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area as well.

Here's a fun fact. Where is the largest Chick-fil-A located? You would think it would reside in one of the southern states, but you would be wrong.

The largest store is located in New York State. New York City to be exact, according to the Only In Your State website. This Chick-fil-A can be found on Fulton Street in Lower Manhattan.

The website, World Record Academy notes that the restaurant consists of a basement kitchen, dining on the first, second, and third floors, along with a rooftop dining option. It can accommodate up to 140 customers. Want to see it? Take a look at the video below.

If a multi-story building is the ticket for a Chick-fil-A, I'm thinking of a Downtown Binghamton building with enough floors that might accommodate. Rooftop dining could also be a possibility. This building may also be the home of a few radio stations. Hmm. Won't happen, but it was just a thought.
