Troopers say 23-year old Trevin Hughes of Canton was trying to pass a vehicle when his PT Cruiser was hit by a car driven by 54-year old Gail Fox of Pottstown which hit a trailer towed by a truck driven by 50-year old Phillip Rhea of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania. There were two passengers in Hughes’ vehicle, one passenger in Fox’s car and four passengers, including a three-year-old and five-year-old, in Rhea’s vehicle.
The crash happened shortly before at 10:21 p.m. July 26.
Troopers say the involved vehicles were left scattered across several hundred yards of the road with various degrees of damage.
All 10 people in the three vehicles was wearing seat belts or in child safety seats. Many said they were not hurt while some reported minor injury but refused treatment.
