Union-Endicott Cheerleaders Earn Third Place in Nationals
The Union-Endicott varsity cheerleaders will be returning home to a warm welcome after their participation in a national competition.
According to the school district, the cheerleaders place third in the Universal Cheerleaders Association competition.
The event was held over the weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
The cheerleading team was flying home from the competition. School district communications director Linda Myers said the team is scheduled to arrive at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
Myers said the cheerleaders will receive a police escort when they get to Broome County.
The team is expected to arrived at Union-Endicott High School between 9:30 and 10 p.m.
