U-E Tigers Head to Binghamton to Meet Patriots

The regular season play winds down this week in Section 4 football.  News Radio 1290 WNBF will be on hand for two games on "Game of the Week" coverage.  Friday night the Union-Endicott Tigers meet the Binghamton Patriots at Alumni Stadium in Binghamton.  The Patriots are 3-4 and are coming off of a 35-28 loss to Horseheads.  The Tigers hung tough for awhile at Blue Devils Stadium but Chenango Forks proved too strong and won their 22nd consecutive home game by a final of 41-12.  They come into Friday night's game with just one victory...that a 21-20 win at Vestal.

On Saturday afternoon WNBF's live game coverage originates from Susquehanna Valley where the Sabers host the Vestal Golden Bears at 1:30.  SV is 7-0 and rides a 20-game winning streak.  The Sabers are New York State's top-ranked Class C squad and headed to the playoffs again this season.

Vestal is 1-6 with the only win for the Golden Bears coming over Edison Tech 22-6. The Golden Bears are one of only two Class A schools in Section 4 and they will host Union-Endicott in the Section 4 title game in a couple of weeks.
