Tractor Accident Claims a Life in Cortlandville

A farm tractor accident at a home in the Town of Cortlandville has left a person dead.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials are not releasing the person’s name pending notification of family but say the subject was at a residence on Old Groton Road at 10:52 a.m. when authorities were called with a report of an accident.

The victim was found pinned under the wheel of the tractor and taken to Cortland Hospital where they succumbed to injuries suffered in the incident.

No other details are available.

Sheriff’s officials say the incident is still under investigation.
