Broome County has lost three more people to the coronavirus pandemic.

County officials announced the deaths August 12, bringing the total of deaths attributed to COVID-19 to 74.  Broome County has lost four neighbors to the pandemic over two days.

There were seven additional confirmed coronavirus cases for a total of 1,094 in Broome.  

Tioga and Delaware counties each reported one new case.  Tioga County has 203 positive cases and 25 deaths while Delaware County now has 98 positive results and six deaths. There were no other additional deaths in the Southern Tier other than those in Broome County. (Chenango County 215 & 7 deaths. Cortland County 91 & 1 death) 

Statewide, ten more New Yorkers reportedly lost their lives for a total of 25,228. There were 737 new positive cases bringing the state’s total to 423,440.
