The State Fair Opens Today

The Great New York State Fair opened today up in Syracuse. Along with the great food and drink, you can enjoy the Midway featuring a new Skyride this year. It's like a chairlift at a ski resort that will take you up high over the Midway at the fair. There's also the animal shows and vendors, as well as games and Exhibits.

The Chevy Court will feature some cool free shows this year for us rock fans. Three Doors Down will be there tonight August 23rd ,Chevelle will be playing tomorrow August 24th, The Fabulous Thunderbirds will be on the stage Friday August 25th. The Beach Boys will also play this Friday. Lynyrd Skynyrd will be playing at 1 p.m. this coming Sunday. Kansas will take the stage on Monday . . The Marshall Tucker Band will be there Tuesday August 29th. Bret Michaels will be there Wednesday August 30th. Skid Row will play at two next Thursday August 31st. Blue Oyster Cult will be at the State Fair on the Chevy Court stage Friday September 1st. and the Spin Doctors will be there that Sunday September 3rd at 2 p.m.

The Fair wraps up on Labor Day.
