In recent days, moving vans transported equipment from the Surescan facility on Wayne Street in Endwell to the Binghamton complex. Surescan's operations had been located just northeast of the Huron Campus.

A Surescan manager said company workers were busy following the move and officials were unavailable to discuss the decision to relocate the operation.

The Eldredge Street building most recently had housed operations of VMR Electronics. Late last year, the VMR business was acquired and renamed i3 Cable and Harness.

People familiar with the i3 Electronics operation in Endicott have indicated the company is considering moving from the Huron Campus to the Eldredge Street site.

Last summer, the Press & Sun-Bulletin reported i3 Electronics was contemplating relocating in part because of concerns over chemical contamination in Endicott.

Representatives of i3 Electronics and Huron Real Estate Associates were not available to discuss whether a move was planned.
