Scammers are once again making calls to Broome County residents impersonating Sheriff's deputies and detectives.

These scammers threaten a warrant for arrest or fines of several thousand dollars.

Thieves keep finding new ways to steal identities and the latest scam that New Yorkers are being warned of involves the United States Postal Service.

The scammer or con artist will use many hooks like fear, love and money.
