Summer Vacation In The Architectural Wonder In The Woods?
Have that awesome summer vacation planned out yet? Maybe you are planning on jetting out of town to some amazing location in another part of the United States, or maybe another country. Been there, done that, and enjoyed every minute of it.
Or maybe you are staying closer to home, with a stay at a nice cottage on a lake or in an RV or tent at a campground. My wife and I took the camping plunge back in the 90s beginning with tent camping, then switching over to soft end campers and finally to hard-sided travel trailers.
For over 20 years now, many of our warm weather month weekends, holidays and vacations are spent with our travel trailer located in a rural campground in Northeast Pennsylvania.
Since we've lived in the city for over 40 years with homes almost on top of each other, it's nice to get away in a spacious campground located in the middle of nowhere, where cows and deer are your neighbors (well, not counting other campers, of course.)
But we still think about trying something different, even if it's just for a weekend getaway somewhere else. Maybe a place with in a few hours drive at most. From time to time, I get the urge to check out what cool rental properties are out there in New York State.
I usually check Airbnb, and look for something a bit unusual, like the surrounding, layout or unusual look of the building itself. I found one such place that's in Rhinebeck, New York, which is just over a two and a half hour drive from the Binghamton area. It's named 'Architectural Wonder in the Wood hosted by Sarah via AirBnb.' Take a look at few of the pictures below.
