So today, November 3rd is my birthday along with my sister Michelle, my daughter Tara and my Uncle Dale. I did the math and I know how the Pitchers like to celebrate Valentine's Day and Valentine's Day weekend. TMI.

I've gotten many great presents through the years including a trip to Nashville, Washington Redskins tickets, my sister Michelle on my second birthday and my best gift ever, Tara being born on my 40th birthday...and I mean "gift" in many, many ways.

I was talking to a listener over the weekend and she told me that she remembers the day that I announced her birth on the radio and now Tara is 17. WOW.

So what would a great gift be for me this year? A trip to a Chinese Buffett or to Tara's favorite restaurant, Binghamton Hots both sound really good to me. However, the best gift is your help in our annual Food-A-Bago Food Drive for Broome County CHOW.

Food-A-Bago Food Drive For Broome County CHOW

I'll be at the Oliver's Camper in the Weis Market parking lot today from Noon to 2 p.m. if you'd like to stop by and drop off your gift to help Broome County's Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse. Remember that CHOW can turn $1 into 5 complete meals and all donations are tax-deductible.

We are off to a very good start after two days. It's been years since we've seen this much food donated on Monday and Tuesday and with the good weather (for this time of year), we expect the donations to continue in a record wave this year. You are invited to stop at Weis Markets, 1290 Upper Front Street in Binghamton.

I say this all the time because it's true, you all mean the world to me and it's been a wonderful journey that we've been taking together for all of these years. My birthday is today and you are my gift every day.

Broome County CHOW is looking for non-perishable food items but here are other things that CHOW needs.
