Binghamton police are investigating an armed robbery at another Main Street  convenience store.

Authorities say the latest heist occurred just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Speedway store at 63 Main Street.

Investigators say a man displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.

The robber ran from the store. He was last seen heading east behind the Family Dollar store at 56 Main Street.

Detective Captain Cory Minor said there were similarities between the Sunday incident and a robbery at the Kwik Fill store at 267 Main Street last Monday evening.

Investigators have not yet determined whether the two robberies may have been perpetrated by the same person.

People with information about either incident may contact the city police detective bureau at (607) 772-7080.
