Second Suspect in Tioga County Armed Robbery Captured in Elmira
A Tioga County teen, wanted in connection with an armed robbery earlier this month, is in custody after being found hiding at an apartment in Elmira.
Tioga County Sheriff’s officials say 17 year old Isaiah Ramirez of Barton is charged with felony robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny in connection an incident where a person was lured into a home on Route 17C in the Town of Tioga early on October 11 and robbed by two men.
22 year old Mason Runyon of Barton was arrested shortly after the incident. He’s also charged with felony robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and grand larceny.
Police said hours after the report of the robbery, they went back to the home and two people ran outside with Runyon captured in nearby woods.
Ramirez was finally picked up October 18 in the apartment on West Fourth Street in Elmira. Both Ramirez and Runyon were sent to the Tioga County Jail without bail.
Deputies say it was not believed the October 11th incident was isolated.
