Here's something cool that the Binghamton Rumble Ponies are offering area youth this season.

The Rumble Ponies will be hosting a free youth baseball clinic for kids ages 8 to 14 on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Mirabito Stadium.

This youth baseball clinic is in conjunction with Major League Baseball’s Play Ball Weekend. which is an initiative by Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, USA Baseball, and USA Softball.

Play Ball Weekend was designed to grow the sport of baseball and softball. June 5th through the 7th, all Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball teams are hosting these events.

Depending on the team, this event will include many activities, including clinics, pitch, hit, and run, or a home run derby. Kids who participate should bring a bat, glove, water bottle, and sunscreen. Baseball shoes are optional.

Play Ball Weekend helps to build young fans as life-long baseball fans, and is open to children of all skill sets, both those who have played the game and those who have never picked up a baseball bat.

For the event with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, every kid who participates will be put through a rotation of stations, led by the team's players, to learn how to hit, pitch, throw, and field like a professional baseball player.

And a bonus, each kid will receive a complimentary whiffle ball bat and four tickets to the Binghamton Rumble Ponies game against the Reading Fightin Phils (Double-A, Philadelphia Phillies) on Saturday, June 6th. First pitch is set for 6:07 p.m.

In Addition, all of the participants will be invited to be a part of the Field of Dreams ceremony taking place before the game.

Is your kid interested? Sign-ups are now open. Space is limited to 120 kids, so sign up now. Visit the Binghamton Rumble Ponies Play Ball Weekend sign-up page.
