Montrose’s Fourth Of July Promises Parades, Races, And Fireworks
This year (2026) is America's 250th Anniversary, and celebrations are happening in many communities across the U.S.A.
Celebrate the 4th In Montrose!
Locally, one of the most popular 4th of July celebrations takes place in Montrose, Pennsylvania, so this year will be even more special.
The parade is always the highlight of the day's event, presented by the Montrose Kiwanis and Lions Community Service Clubs for the 49th year. According to the Montrtose PA July 4th website, the theme for 2026 is “America 250 – Moments in History”.

Montrose 4th Celebration Events
The parade highlighting and celebrating the people, places, organizations, and events that have shaped our county's story will kick off at 11 a.m. on Grow Avenue. Expect marching units, bands, classic and antique vehicles, floats, and many other participants.
In addition to the parade, the Montrose 4th of July celebration will include a 5K and 10K race. The 5K race will begin at 8 a.m., followed by the 10K race at 8:10 a.m.
Also, the day will feature the arts and crafts on the green from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a 4th of July staple - chicken BBQ beginning at 10 a.m., served in the fire hall. The day will end, of course, with a fireworks display around 8:45 p.m. from the high school area.
