Though my Dad never said it, he taught us that laughter is one of the most potent elixirs in life. When my Dad passed, my family turned to laughter to grieve and heal.

We learned more about Robin today from his wife Susan Schneider and now the picture of his passing is clearer. According to the Huffington Post, Williams' widow released a statement saying he was in the beginning stages of Parkinson's Disease. Whoa.

Robin Williams will always be remembered for making us laugh, but there is so much more to him. In his passing, he has given us the chance to heal with laughter, become aware of his illness (depression) and act, and somehow see how important those in are life are.

We also have a chance to better know Robin Williams, like we never did when he was alive. Here are some glimpses into the man.

I will miss him greatly.

    Robin and Jonathan Winters

Loving comedy, I adored Jonathan Winters! The man was nuts and brilliant! Sadly, we lost him last year. And Robin Williams lost a mentor and father figure. I wonder if he would have been strong enough to fight his depression had Winters still been around. Their bond was powerful...and funny.
