Possible COVID-19 Exposure at Johnson City Gym

Those who attended one Broome County gym recent may have been exposed to coronavirus after a gym-goer tested postive, Broome County officials say.

According to county officials, someone who attended the Court Jester Athletic Club in Johnson City earlier this week tested positive for COVID-19.

Those who were at the facility's second floor stength training room on August 31 from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. and/or September 1 from 12:20 -2:50 p.m.are asked to self-quarantine until September 14/15, respectively.

Gyms were among the many types of businesses ordered closed in New York State back in March due to the spread of coronavirus. Athletic facilities in New York State that met all requirements finally were allowed to reopen to the public on August 24.
