State police were able to stop a wrong-way motorist on Route 17 in the town of Union before her car collided with any other vehicles.

Authorities say 37-year-old Lisa Keyes of Fenton was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and reckless endangerment.

Investigators say the woman's blood alcohol content was measured at 0.21 percent.

Troopers say Keyes was arrested around 2:30 Sunday morning after she led Broome County sheriff's deputies on a pursuit.

Keyes was observed driving in the wrong direction on Interstate 88, Interstate 81 and Route 17.

Troopers managed to get ahead of the wrong-way car on Route 17 near Endwell where Keyes finally stopped her vehicle.

In addition to the DWI and reckless endangerment counts, Keyes was charged with several traffic violations. She was ordered to appear in Union town court on April 3.
