A Central New York woman and a Hollywood, Florida man are accused of stealing teddy bears and other items from the memorial for those killed in the Valentine’s Day shootings at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida.

Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies reportedly found the stolen items in a car being used by 40 year old Kara O’Neil of Fulton, New York and 37 year old Michael Kennedy.

The pair is charged with felony removing or disfiguring a tomb or monument and damaging property.

The Associated Press reports Kennedy was in court March 26 arguing against the memorials being considered a tomb or monument.  The judge disagreed.

Bail is set at $1,000 for Kennedy and O’Neil.
