No Single Day Passes for Woodstock 50 at Watkins Glen

Woodstock 50 is taking place at Watkins Glen International August 16th, 17th, and 18th, the 50th anniversary of the original Woodstock held in Bethel New York.

The festival organizer, Michael Lang, who was one of the organizers of the original event back in 1969, held a public hearing last night to inform people about the festival taking place at the racetrack.

According to WBNG, some of the topics that came up included; Public Safety, how they plan to keep traffic moving with such a large number of people expected to attend, and the fact that there will be no single day passes for sale. It'll be three day passes only for the festival.

Lane was quoted by WBNG as saying,

“It’s really to simplify the traffic patterns. We don’t want people coming in and out on a daily basis it seems that would create more problems than we need and frankly, anyone who is interested in coming should come for the three days,”

The three-day event will feature approximately 80 bands in all highlighted by Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, Santana, John Fogerty, and the Killers on Friday. Saturday features performances from David Crosby and Friends, The Dead and Company, The Black Keys, Greta Van Fleet, and Gary Clark Jr. And the final day on Sunday, The Imagine Dragons, Cage the Elephant, The Zombies, Canned Heat, Hot Tuna, and many others will take the stage.
