NFL Star and U.E. Grad Chandler Jones Is Donating Food to Endicott’s Needy
Arizona Cardinal Outside Linebacker and Union-Endicott graduate Chandler Jones is stepping up to help those in need here in Broome County during the Covid-19 crisis.
Chandler is donating more than 150,000 meals to food banks in both Arizona and in Endicott New York, according to the Arizona Cardinals website.
The food will be donated to St Mary's Food Bank and Midwest food bank in Arizona, and Mother Teresa's Cupboard which is run by Broome County Catholic Charities, and is located behind St. Ambrose Church in Endicott.
The Arizona Cardinals quoted Jones as saying;
These are really tough times and it is important for me to do my part and help out both here in Arizona and back at home in New York. There are a lot of people in need and everything we can do as a community makes a difference.
Jones was acquired by the Cardinals in a trade with Patriots in 2016. He is a two-time Pro Bowler earning those honors in 2015 and again in 2017. He is also a Super Bowl Champion winning a ring with the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 49.
After graduating from Union-Endicott High School in 2007, Chandler played his college ball for Syracuse where majored in Child and Family Studies.
