So far, there is no word of a weather delay becoming the latest snag in finding a winner in the 22nd U.S. Congressional race in New York.

At last word, with challenger former Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (R) ahead of incumbent Democrat Anthony Brindisi by 12 votes, State Supreme Court Justice Scott DelConte was looking to restart the judicial review December 21.

The paper ballots were sent back to the eight boards of elections in the district to review following after a number of issues arose including dozens being misplaced in Chenango County, notations on ballots being inappropriately made on sticky-notes instead of in ink on the ballots and members of a canvassing team testing positive for the coronavirus.

The counties' corrections were to be completed this week.

DelConte has indicated he hopes to conclude the judicial review of the race before Congress reconvenes January 3.
