It was a great start to NASCAR Speed Weeks in Daytona this weekend with the Sprint Unlimited on Saturday night.

The race is just a fun night of track time and holds no weight, so it was no surprise to see the wrecks that happened. The biggest one was when Greg Biffle bumped Jamie McMurray. 14 cars were affected.

Naturally, Kevin Harvick had to have an issue with someone and to no one's surprise it was Joey Logano for pushing him too much. The most used phrase after the race? "It was just racing."

During group qualifying, which no driver liked at all, Clint Bowyer was tapped and slammed into a group of cars. Bowyer was very vocal and according to NASCAR.com said, "ike I said, we need to be focused on qualifying and who's going to sit on the pole for the biggest race of the year and the front row, just like we always have. There's no reason to be putting a show on and trying to make something out of stuff that doesn't need to be. We put on a hell of a show on for the Daytona 500 and unfortunately these guys have worked the last six months for nothing."

I have to agree with him.

Jeff Gordon won the pole and teammate Jimmie Johnson will start second. Appropriate for Gordon's last full season Daytona 500. Winning will be a different story. The pole sitter has not won in the last 15 tries.

And in case you are wondering, Tony Stewart was on the track running pretty well this weekend.

We'll share more news and rumors leading up to Sunday's race, as the fun happens!
