Binghamton Rumble Ponies are looking forward to coming home after wrapping up a lack luster six game road trip ending in a 5 -1 loss to the Altoona Curve last night.

The home series will feature Major league baseballs rising star Spencer Torkelson, selected number one overall in 2020 by the Detroit Tigers, the 6'1'' right handed will be a challenge for Binghamton in their six game series against the Erie Seawolves.

The Rumble Ponies will also showcase the New York Mets #4 pick Brett Baty.

The Ponies took two out of the six game series against the Curve falling to 24-39 putting them in 5th place in the Northeast after being out scored 34 to 22 in the series.

Binghamton’s best game in the match came last Friday night with an excellent pitching performance coupled by key hits from Manny Rodriquez and Johneswhy Fargas , and two solo homers from Mark Vientos in a 7-1 rout of the Curve.

The night before the Ponies got hits from Manny Rodriquez (RBI double) and Nick Conti (2 RBI double) with a Jake Mangum sacrifice fly to secure a 4-3 win. The Binghamton wrapped up their season series with Altoona at 3 and 9.

The Ponies are heading home for six games at Mirabito Stadium to take on the Erie Seawolves and rising star Spencer Torkelson the major leagues #1 pick in 2020, and the New York Mets #4 pick Brett Baty.

The series begins tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 6:35pm will a series of fun nights including “We Care Wednesday” to benefit the Broome County Humane Society,  Fireworks on Friday Night, “Pete Polar Bear Alonso Bobble Head Night on Saturday, and Christmas in July on Sunday.

The Ponies are 1 and 5 against the Seawolves in their first matchup this year.
