The one room I spend the most time in my waking hours at home is, the dining room.

Why?
Well, it used to be a dining room, but over the years, my 'mancave type' items have slowly been accumulating to the point where almost all of it is in the room, like the TV, exercise equipment and computer from 1995 (don't laugh too hard) among other things.
And it's the room in the back of the house featuring a large picture window that looks out onto the patio.

For the past few years, I thought for the holiday season, it would be cool to put up an outdoor Christmas Tree to admire through the window in the dining room, but never got around to put that plan in motion.

Except for this year.

I have two (fake) trees.
One white, one green.
The white one usually ends up in the living room, the green one usually stays in the cellar, unused.

So I decided to get the green one out this year, and put it outside on the patio as I had planned for so many years.

Now for the decorations.
Tons of them from years gone by were lying around in the cellar with no chance of ever being used again.
There's garland that's seen better days, candy cane light rope and lights of different sizes and shapes containing several bulbs that no longer work.

I didn't want to head out and spend money on decorations for a second tree.
What to do?
Then an idea popped into my head.
How about a misfit Christmas tree?
Inspiration from the 'Misfit Island' in the 'Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer TV' special.

So, I grabbed up all those old decorations, and just slapped them around the tree.
It took me about 30 minutes to create this misfit/Frankenstein type Christmas tree, but hey , it not so bad!
Of course all those decorations clash with each other.

So there it is, in it's messed up glory, along side a small plastic Santa, minus the light (don't know what happened to that) my misfit Christmas tree.

I can only hope it'll all come down as quick as it went up.
Not looking forward to taking it apart and back to the cellar in January.
Maybe Santa will see it on Christmas, and deliver it to someone who doesn't have a tree, just like in the TV special.
