The National Weather Service says a Flood Watch remains in effect for the Twin Tiers through 8 a.m. April 8.

Rain overnight April 3-4 was causing water levels in rivers and tributaries to rise but another low pressure system is expected to move through April 6, bringing more moderate to heavy rain.

NOAA says it’s expected several points along the Susquehanna River could experience minor flooding or come close to flood levels.  There is also the possibility of pooling water on roads and overflowing ditches.  Residents are encouraged to make sure storm drains are free of debris.

Stay tuned for updates on the forecast and current conditions and those living in flood-prone areas should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
