Memorial Day Weekend And The Top 500 Classic Rock Songs

Happy, unofficial start of the summer! Well, at least we hope summer-type weather finally arrives. It's been a wet and cold more than I prefer.

But more importantly, it's the Memorial Day weekend. Please remember what the day is all about - honoring the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our country, our way of living and our freedom. Many of us have a loved one who have made that sacrifice. There are many services and memorials around our area to attend. Jim Free has listed them here.

Also, this weekend, we have the annual Memorial Day Classic Rock 500. It kind of explains itself. We began playing the best of the best Classic Rock songs at 12 Noon on Friday May 23rd, and continue through the weekend and into Memorial Day Monday May 27th with the number one song to be announced in the 12 Noon hour with Nikki Cruz.

What's the number one song? Well, it not the one from last year, Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. You may be surprised.
