The Troopers say the remains are those of an adult woman.  She was short in stature, believed to have stood between four-feet, nine and four-feet eleven inches tall. Several items of clothing were recovered by the authorities.  Investigators say the woman had been wearing Adidas brand jogging pants, a pink tank top along with a light-weight black jacket.  The jacket had a pink zipper.  While the woman had been wearing running clothes, Troopers say they recovered Carolina brand boots.  Also found near the remains were an adjustable silver ring with a small heart mounted on it. As well as a gold chain necklace with a medium to heavy link.

The news release provides no specifics regarding the location where the remains were found, when the body and clothing were located or by whom.

The statement from the State Police says they are “seeking to identify the woman so that her family can be notified and any potential crime can be investigated.
