The Annual Food-A-Bago Food Drive Exceeds Expectations On First Day
Day One of our annual Food-A-Bago food drive for Broome County CHOW is in the books. And what a day it was.
Over the 24 years we have been asking our community for help to feed families in need, you have really come through over the seven and a half days of the Food-A-Bago food drive.
Normally the first couple of days are a bit slow. People are busy, or just becoming aware that we are back in the parking lot of the Weis Food Market, 1290 Upper Front Street, Binghamton with a very large Broome County CHOW truck to fill with non-perishable foods.

But, yesterday (Monday 10/28) was not a slow day by any means. In addition to several donations of food and monetary contributions, the fine folks at Gault Auto stopped by again this year to go on a shopping spree. Joining them was Joe Stanley from Music For The Mission, and Les Aylesworth from Broome County CHOW.
And shop, they did! Nine grocery carts full of non-perishable food almost filled three large bins in the CHOW truck. That is a great start for Food-A-Bago which is now in its 24th year.
We would also like to thank Lynn, Dean, Robert, and several others who stopped by with either a food or monetary contribution.
So, how about you? Will we see you this week? Stop by, keep us company (we get lonely!), drop off a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation...no matter how small or large. If it's a check, we ask that you make it out to Music For The Mission, or you can donate through PayPal if they can't make it to our location. Just click on this PayPal link.
By the way, Broome County CHOW can assemble FIVE MEALS for just a one-dollar donation. That is amazing! Day One is done. Bring on Days 2,3,4,5,6,7 and Monday Morning, November 4th!
