This list of arrests and charges was released from the Broome County Sheriff's report on April 9, 2026. Activities and arrests are listed below. Persons accused of any crime are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Petit Larceny

  • This week's report from the Broome County Sheriff includes a larceny investigation in the Town of Chenango, where Julie Burns from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, was charged with Petit Larceny.
  • Also charged with Petit larceny was 55-year-old Shawn Burns of Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, following an investigation in the Town of Chenango.
  • Amethyst Obeirne of the Town of Chenango was charged with Petit Larceny, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Chenango.

Harrassment

  • 30-year-old Daniel Gibson from the Town of Chenango was charged with three counts of Child Endangerment, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree, following an investigation into a domestic incident in the Town of Windsor.
  • Also, following an investigation into a domestic incident, Lyndia Clapper, 48, of Maine, New York, was charged with Harassment in the 2nd Degree.

Criminal Mischief

  • Brandon W. Carlson, age 24, was charged with Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, a Class E Felony, and Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor, following a warrant execution in the City of Binghamton.

Promoting Prison Contraband

  • 38-year-old Siobian Campbell from Endicott was charged with two counts of Promoting Prison Contraband in the 1st Degree following an investigation during intake procedures at the Broome County Correctional Facility.

Criminal Possession

  • The Broome County Sheriff's report noted that Melissa Sabol of the Town of Dickinson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, following a narcotics investigation in the Town of Fenton.
  • Following a warrant execution in the City of Binghamton, Joshua Cleveland from Binghamton, was charged with three counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.
  • 43-year-old Joshua Ostrander of Binghamton was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, following a narcotics investigation in the City of Binghamton.

Identity Theft

  • After a larceny investigation was conducted, Stanley Survilla, who resides in Port Crane, was charged with Identity Theft in the 2nd Degree and Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree, following a larceny investigation in the Town of Fenton.

Obstructing Governmental Administration

  • Samantha Conklin from Cincinnatus was charged with two counts of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, following a warrant execution in the Town of Triangle.

Multiple Traffic Violations

  • 55-year-old James Bushrod of Binghamton was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs (1st Offense), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the City of Binghamton.
  • Following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Dickinson, Jason Lemon from Binghamton was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Previous Conviction within 10 years), Assault in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and two counts of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree.
  • 52-year-old Brett Dubois of Apalachin was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (1st Offense and Operating a Motor Vehicle w/ BAC > .08 (1st Offense), along with multiple traffic violations, following a traffic stop in the Town of Vestal.

DWI/Motor Vehicle Accident

  • Travis  Shabazz from Endicott was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Previous Conviction within 10 years) and Operating a Motor Vehicle w/ BAC > .08 (Previous Conviction within 10 years), following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Union.
