Many people aren't just losing money in 2023  but they are also losing hope. We don't see a bright future and I don't know about you but I don't like what we're leaving for our kids.

However for one weekend, we can find hope and it's at the SUNY Broome Ice Center. It's the Hockey 4 Hope charity ice hockey game. This two-day event started in 2010 in honor of Constance "Connie" Glauser, who passed away from breast cancer in 2006.

The Constance Foundation Presents Hockey 4 Hope

The Constance Foundation was formed to honor her and help ease the financial burden that's associated with cancer. Every year, they host two events, Softball 4 Hope and Hockey 4 Hope.

Hockey 4 Hope helps provide funds and goodwill to Lourdes Hospital for the Geller Oncology Fund but more importantly it helps families in need. This allows families to benefit financially while receiving oncology treatment.

Hockey 4 Hope at the SUNY Broome Ice Center is their way of curing cancer through hockey. It starts on Friday, March 31st with "Paint the Ice" Night from 5 to 8 p.m.. For a minimum donation of $5 per message (yes, you can give more), you can leave a message of hope, love or remembrance on the ice.

Then on April 1st, it's the Annual Hockey 4 Hope charity hockey game with the doors opening at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. puck drop. This is a great event but what makes this special is than many of the players have battled cancer themselves or have someone special in their lives that have been effected by this disease.

If you can't make it to the SUNY Broome Ice Center, 907 Front Street, Binghamton for the event but want to help, you can donate here.
