On Saturday night, the Syracuse men squeaked by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to win the game 78-73 but perhaps just as exciting as winning such a close game was seeing one of the biggest television stars in the world sitting only feet away.

On Saturday afternoon, businessman Adam Weitsman, a huge supporter of the Syracuse Orange posted on his social media accounts that he had a very special friend coming into town for the game but that the friend had just gotten a new puppy. Weitsman asked his followers if any of them would be willing to babysit the puppy and promised that they’d have an opportunity to meet the mystery star.

Over 500 comments rolled through with offers to puppy sit and also questions about who the mystery star could be. Guesses ranged from Dave Matthews of the Dave Matthews Band to Blake Shelton, but in the end, the celebrity guest turned out to be one of the hottest television stars these days, Cole Hauser, better known by his Yellowstone character’s name, ‘Rip Wheeler.”

In Yellowstone, Rip, Hauser’s character is the is the ranch hand on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, one of the most massive cattle ranches in the United States. Rip is also the husband of Beth Dutton, daughter of Yellowstone Dutton Ranch owner, John Dutton.

Hauser wasn't alone though - he brought his wife, a celerity in her own right. Hauser is married to Cynthia Daniel. Daniel is the twin sister of Brittany Daniel and together, the sisters starred as the Wakefield sisters in the popular 90s syndicated teen drama, Sweet Valley High. Daniel played Elizabeth while her twin sister played Jessica. Daniel also appeared in 2022's version of 'Cheaper by the Dozen.'
