Escape New York Winters at the Invisible Desert House
Are you looking to get out of New York or Pennsylvania and head to warmer climates? I've been thinking about that for when I retire, but I'll probably end up living out my life here in the Southern Tier.
But, if you've got the urge to go somewhere else in the country, and you have, say around $18 million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, there's a place called the 'Invisible House' that you've got to check out. Even if you don't have the money, you need to take a look at this very unique home that seems to blend into the desert landscape.
This 'Invisible House' is located in the Joshua Tree, California desert, and it's a style of home that you've probably never seen before. When you look at the exterior, you see the reflection of the landscape around the home. That's got to be an amazing experience, and that's why it's called the 'Invisible House.'
According to The Guardian, this unique home was used as an Airbnb rental property and is now up for sale at $18 million. It's a mirrored-wall home, designed to help blend into the desert landscape, and it does just that.
The Guardian article mentions that the 'Invisible House' was built in 2019 by a couple of film producers, and it's been rented out by several celebrities including Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato. It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, high-end kitchen appliances, a 100-foot indoor pool, and oh yea, charging stations for your Tesla.
