Two Binghamton residents are facing several felony charges after New York State Police say they seized about a half-million dollars-worth of marijuana from a vehicle and a home on Oak Street in the City of Binghamton December 29.

22-year-old Naami Islam and 21-year-old Melissa Pincus are charged with one count of criminal possession of marijuana and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team and Vestal Police stopped a vehicle on Murray Street in the City of Binghamton for a traffic law violation and found about two pounds of marijuana.  Further investigation resulted in a search warrant issued for the Oak Street home where authorities found about 103 pounds of commercial grade marijuana, worth about $412-000, 60 commercially packaged boxes of Ghost-brand .500 mill. concentrated cannabis vapor cartridges, worth about $38,000, 224 eighth-ounce canisters of medical-grade flavored marijuana, worth $10,000, about three grams of cocaine, $37,000 cash, a commercial-grade money counter, drug paraphernalia and packaging material.

Islam and Pincus were sent to the Broome County Jail without bail.
