Police confiscated a loaded gun and drugs from an apartment house located directly behind a Binghamton liquor store.

A search warrant was executed at 161 Laurel Avenue on the West Side around 6 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say 50-year-old Terry McNerney Jr. faces eight felony drug possession counts. He also was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.

Police found a 12-gauge shotgun, along with fentanyl, crack cocaine and methamphetamine in the raid.

An investigator said the weapon and drugs were discovered in a second-floor apartment behind the Laurel Wine & Liquor store, just south of Main Street.

McNerney was arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
