The New York Giants will travel to Philadelphia for a big Thursday Night NFC East match up against the Eagles, coverage begins at 7:25pm on 991 The Whale.

Why do I get the feeling there will not be any brotherly love between these two teams?

The Eagles started the season with three straight wins and then lost 7 of their next 8 games.

The Giants lost 3 of their first 5 games and have since been on a roll winning 8 of their next 9 games.

I know on paper it looks like Big blue should stuff the birds, but the Philadelphia Eagles have had our number, prior to winning the first match this season, the Eagles have won several games against us and it doesn’t seem to matter who has the better team.

The Giants haven’t won a game in Philly since 2013, if they win Thursday they’ll clinch a playoff berth for the first time since their last super bowl year in 2012.

The Giants defense has been playing at a whole new level and last week the Giants had a running game so it appears the team is hitting its stride at the right time.

Janoris Jenkins suffered a bruised back last week in the Lions game, and he is questionable for Thursday night, JPP is out for the rest of the season but these setbacks have not hurt their overall defensive performance.

Eli Manning has found Victor Cruz and Odell Beckham Jr for big gains and Running Backs Perkins and Jennings have found some holes and made some drive sustaining runs.

The Giants will need to stop rookie Quarterback Carson Wentz and his many weapons that include WR Jordan Matthews and RB Ryan Mathews.

A Big Blue win will help the Giants finish the season strong and it will put them in control of their situation, and even though it’s a long shot, if Dallas loses out and the Giants win out, they will capture the NFC East crown.

Get ready for a heated game between NFC East rivals the New York Giants versus the Philadelphia Eagles, catch all the action beginning with the pregame show Thursday at 7:25pm.

Go Giants!
