The Eastern League playoffs are set and begin on Wednesday night. It is the first season of the Eastern League's split season winners. It was a disappointing summer for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and their fans with no postseason opportunity.  But both the Eastern and Western Division Championship Series shape up to be exciting.

In the Eastern Division Reading and Trenton square off. Trenton finished on top of the first half standings and ended the season with a record of 76-62.  Reading captured the second half title and finished with an overall record of 80-59. The best-of-five series opens in Reading with the first two games at the Fightin Phils.  The series then moves to Trenton for game three and games four and five if needed.

In the Western Division Harrisburg and Bowie match-up.  Harrisburg had a huge run at the start of the season and won the first half title.  Overall the Senators finished the season at 76-63.  Bowie won the second half crown and ended up 76-64 for the season.  The Baysox host games one and two with the third any remaining games needed moving to Bowie.
