The Portland Trailblazers started the playoff series with a win against the LA Lakers, and a statement that they could beat anyone, the Lakers answered with for straight wins and a bigger statement, goodbye Blazers.

The first round is not over yet, teams are playing pivotal games over the next few days that will either extend their teams play, or send them home.

The Boston Celtics have played the best in the playoff bubble with a sweep of the Pacers and an easy 112-94 victory last night against the defending champion Raptors in the first game of round two, which makes them 5-0 in playoff competition.

Miami Swept the Pacers, and after losing the first game to Orlando, the Milwaukee Bucks won four straight to advance to a match up with the Heat in the second round.

The other west coast team the LA Clippers came on strong and took the series against the Dallas Mavericks 4-2. They wait to see who wins game seven between the Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets.

The Los Angeles Lakers and their stacked team of elite superstars, are watching the matchup between the Houston Rockets, and the Oklahoma City Thunder. James Harden and the Rockets have a 3-2 lead in the series, with the winner advancing to the semi-final match against Lebron, Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Kyle Kuzma, and the rest of the well balanced LA squad.

The big question, which team, the Rockets or the Thunder, will have a better chance of defeating the Lakers in the second round?

If Houston can get Russell Westbrook back in the game, they would be my choice, Houston is a small team, so rebounding against the Laker bigs will be difficult.

Chris Paul and the Thunder have some fire power, but can they outlast the high scoring Laker team.

I have my doubts that either one can take the Lakers in a seven-game series, but my pick is the Houston Rockets.

I think the Boston Celtics will make it to the conference finals against the Bucks who should win their series against the Miami Heat.

In the West, it could be an LA series with the Clippers and Lakers leading up to a Eastern Conference Final round with Boston Celtics and the LA Lakers. (I’m still routing for Houston)
