The Whale Time Machine is ready to rock back to August 6th, 1982. Hop in and let's take a ride.

For this trip, we land in a movie theater in New York City. Hopefully we land in one of those comfy seats that reline all the way back. Although, I don't believe any movie theater in 1982 had that type of luxury. No matter, we are here to view Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' movie, which is about to make it debut before our eyes.

The movie stars Bob Geldof, and of course is taken from the album of the same name, through the genius of Roger Waters. Originally Roger was going to star in the movie. It cost 12 million to make, and brought in just over 22 million at the box office.

August 6th was a limited theater release. In September the list of theater showings increased to around 600. The Wall received mostly positive reviews from movie critics. For this week's Classic Rock Throwback Thursday, let's sit back, and check out a scene from the movie with Another Brick In The Wall.
