Chenango Valley Boys’ Soccer Team In the Pink for Cancer Services

Members of the Chenango Valley boys’ soccer team are presenting the rewards of a colorful fund-raising effort held during part of their fall season to a good cause.

The team wore pink jerseys with the names of people in their lives affected by cancer in order as part of a team effort, raising awareness as they collected donations.

March 27, team presented the Lourdes Hospital Foundation with a $250 donation for the Geller Oncology Fund. A $250 donation was also made to the Sock Out Cancer Initiative.

During the fall season, players asked their families and the CV community to make monetary contributions based on the number of goals scored by the team.
