Broome Farmer Market Open for Business
Broome County residents will still be able to get healthy, fresh food in spite of closings around the region due to the coronavirus.
The Broome County Regional farmers Market is open for business Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cornell cooperative Extension on Upper Front Street in the Town of Dickinson.
Officials say, in addition to food safety protocols that are taken by farmers, the Market is implementing its own sanitary methods including extensive cleaning before the market opens, making sure hand sanitizer is located at the market manager table and encouraging glove use by vendors.
