New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who, along with fellow Democrat, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, were among governors invited to the White House for the bill signing Monday says in addition to $14-billion for New York roads and bridges, the measure means $3-billion for clean water and $200-million for broadband deployment.  Hochul says the pandemic shutdown really intensified the problem with connectivity in the state as students struggled to learn at home, workers dealt with slow speeds trying to work remotely and thousands of New Yorkers without jobs or internet access were shut out in employment application opportunities.
