The group is looking ahead for ways to make Broome County an inviting place to live, work and play in the next decade through capitalizing on the area’s scenic beauty, legacy sites and developing former industrial sites.

Residents have been asked to fill out an online survey at https://broomeplan2020.questionpro.com/ with a chance to be awarded a $25 gift card to the Broome County Taste NY Market.

A draft vision statement was put together from previous input from residents about how to create a prosperous, creative, clean and safe community for families.

A public meeting on the Comprehensive Plan is being held at 5:30 p.m. July 11 in the Decker Room of the Broome County Public Library.

The Council will make a presentation of current projects which will be followed by a workshop for community members to add their input.
